Terms and Conditions for Booking and Reservations

1. General Policies

  1. Studio Use: Rentals are for the agreed-upon times only. Early arrivals or late departures are subject to additional fees. Same Day Booking reschedule will incur in a $25 fee
  2. Booking Confirmation: Reservations are confirmed upon payment. All bookings are final, and payments are non-refundable.
  3. Advance Booking: We strongly recommend booking in advance to secure your desired time slot.
  4. Rescheduling Policy: Reschedules must be made at least 24 hours in advance via email or phone. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of the booking.

2. Studio Conduct and Restrictions

  1. Guest Limits: Each booking allows a maximum of 1-3 guests. Additional guests are subject to a fee of $10 per person.
  2. Prohibited Items: No food, drinks, snacks, candy, glass, roller blades, skateboards, or wheeled devices (excluding wheelchairs and strollers) are permitted in the studio.
  3. Smoking and Alcohol: Smoking is prohibited inside the studio. Alcohol is permitted only under specific terms with security present.
  4. Decorations and Props: Decorations are not provided. Guests may bring their own props, chairs, and lighting equipment.
  5. Furniture Use: Studio furniture, including chairs and the orange sofa, is available for free use during your rental.

3. Fees and Payments

  1. Rental Rates: Rental rates depend on the booking package. Additional fees may apply for extended hours or extra services.
  2. Membership Fees: Membership options are available at discounted rates and are subject to specific terms.
  3. Cleaning Fees: Events may incur an additional cleaning fee of $250, depending on the nature of the booking.
  4. Security Deposits: Certain events may require a refundable security deposit or proof of insurance.

4. Equipment and Setup

  1. Lighting and Equipment: Basic lighting is included for free. Guests may use professional cameras and equipment brought to the studio.
  2. Damage Liability: Guests are responsible for any damage to the studio, furniture, or equipment during their rental period. Fees for repairs or replacements will be assessed and billed to the renter.

5. Event-Specific Policies

  1. Insurance: Events involving larger groups or alcohol may require proof of insurance. Guests can obtain coverage at The Event Helper.
  2. Security: Security is mandatory for events where alcohol is served or to prevent weapons and illegal substances on the premises.

6. Cancellations and Refunds

  1. No Cancellations: All bookings are final. No refunds will be issued for cancellations.
  2. Rescheduling: Reschedules must be completed at least 24 hours prior to the rental date via email or phone.

7. Photography and Videography

  1. Logo Policy: All images and videos taken by Black Umbrella Studio include a studio logo. To remove the logo, a fee of $50 will apply.
  2. Editing Services: Additional editing services, including RAW file access, are available for an additional charge.

8. Liability Waiver

  1. Black Umbrella Studio is not responsible for any injuries, theft, or property loss during the rental period. Renters and their guests assume all risks associated with their use of the space.

9. Legal Compliance

  1. Renters agree to abide by all local, state, and federal laws while on the premises.
  2. Activities deemed illegal or unsafe may result in immediate termination of the rental without a refund.

10. Agreement

By completing your booking, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions outlined above. Black Umbrella Studio reserves the right to update these terms at any time.
