Rental FAQ's​

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Dos & Don't

Black Umbrella has a ZERO tolerance policy for conflict, violence, or harassment.

  1. NO KIDS OR MINORS ALLOW TO RUN AND PLAY (NOT A SAFE SPACE).
  2. NO GUNS, KNIVES, MACE or WEAPONS are allowed at any time at the Studio.
  3. NO alcoholic beverages.
  4. Non-prescription or Illegal Drugs: Entry will be denied to anyone who is intoxicated or under the influence of illegal substances.
  5. NO SMOKING, NO VAPING Inside Studio. It must be done in designated smoking areas and cigarettes disposed of in ashtrays (OUTSIDE THE STUDIO ONLY).
  6. Music is to be kept at reasonable levels.
  7. Do not adjust the thermostat.
  8. Areas with (Do not trespassing sign) must be respected, trespassing will occur in EXTRA $100 FEE on top of your booking.
  9. Food or dry snacks are NOT ALLOW inside the studio. A cleaning fee of $50 to $250 will be applied per booking session if this policy is violated.
  10. All HARD TO CLEAN materials MUST be approved in advance (Glitters, body oils, Confetti, Makeup etc.). An additional damage deposit might be required
  11. If the studio is left dirty with trash such as cups, hair, makeup, etc. a minimum charge of $50 will be applied to the Creator’s credit card.
  12. Shoes must be covered or taped at all times inside the studio, unless actively filming or shooting (shoe tape must be applied by customer prior walking into the White CYC floor).

13. PETS ONLY ALLOW with consent of a Studio Representative for a Shoot and must be on a leach or cage at all time. Species and breed must be specified and a $50 per Pet Fee Applies (NON-Refundable & NON Negotiable) if pet is 50lbs or less. 50LBS + Pets are at $100 Fee.

14. Any theft of property will result in prosecution in accordance with local law enforcement.

15. Legal Form of ID, or License will be requested per each adult person inside the studio.

16. Do not open the EMERGENCY DOOR unless there is an emergency. Doing so without permission will cause immediate termination of the contract or an extra $50 fee.

17. The studio is equipped with cameras recording 24/7 for everyone’s safety.

18. NO Money Back. All Bookings are Final.  

19. We charge a 10% fee for equipment Rental. 

We do our best to accommodate and provide professional, friendly, and honest services to all clients.

we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone if they don’t comply with studio rules.

* Content Creators must advise their customer of studio rules before booking.

Booking and Reservations

Cancellation and Rescheduling Faq's

The Studio is not liable for acts out of its control that affect the shoot, such as building equipment failures, power outages, weather, acts of God or emergencies. In such cases, the Studio will move your rental to a future day.

* All cancellation fees are final. No refunds will be issued for any reason a non-refundable 50% deposit required before booking (If Apply). The remainder of the balance will be due the day before of the booking.

*All photography and videography sessions require full payment at the time of booking.

Cancellations of confirmed bookings will result in the following charges:

NO Refunds Policy

  1. Full rental payments are non-refundable;
  2. Prepaid equipment rental fees, cleaning fees, and damage deposits will be refunded in full, minus a 10% processing fee.
  3. Any Cancellations of any booking will result in the full charge of the basic studio rental. 

Customers may reschedule at no additional cost for future days.

* All Equipments, Props or Furniture refunds will be issued to the original payment method, with a 10% processing fee or the current market rate applied for any rental fee refunds due to cancellations.

Insurance Faq's

Businesses, Corporations, Production Companies and other legal entities may be required, prior to book/rental, to present a certificate of general liability insurance naming Black Umbrella LLC.

As additionally insured on the dates of the rental. If so required, Client’s liability insurance shall be deemed primary and noncontributory insurance in the event of any claim or suit.

Liability insurance shall be Commercial General Liability with a minimum of $1,000,000 (one million) per occurrence & annual aggregate. injury or loss to Client, his party or possessions while on the Premises.

DAMAGE:

Client shall be solely responsible for any damage to the Studio’s property or equipment that occurs during the time Client or Client’s party occupies the Premises.

Damage deposits will be held until repairs can be made.

If the damage exceeds the amount of the damage deposit, Client agrees to pay reasonable additional repair costs to bring damaged equipment back to working condition.

Client agrees to pay for damage to the Premises including spills, excessive wear, marks or stains on furniture, fixtures or painted surfaces.

Liability Faq's

Client understands and agrees to all studio rules. Client agrees to enforce all rules to any person with Client at all times.
